Semester 5 Week 1

Well, to me it's still semester 5, despite my coursemates' explanations that we're actually in semester 6 because we've done our internship and our internship counts as one semester. I'll just confuse myself less and call it the second-last semester.

It's the usual "ooh I'm back at Taylor's! There are new people! And even less parking! Why the hell did they use my tuition fees for [insert name of something new on campus]?!" routine. And I still wake up at inhuman hours to get decent parking.

38
Taylorians will know about the cinema-esque new lecture theatres next to the experimental theatre and grand hall. The inside looks like a cinema yes, but the exterior was beyond disappointing - pretty much an echo-ey hallway with rickety-ish stairs. From the outside it looked quite promising...

The walls and floors a pretty much empty when you tap on them.
Apparently, Ford changed their car designs very drastically.
Also, Taylor's does a lot of advertisements for companies like Ford, and have gone beyond giant billboards featuring Fay Hokulani and Marianne Tan (from JinnyBoyTV) - if you park in the basement, you will see giant Ford advertisement stickers along the ramps, and on the level just below the entrance level, there are 3 specific parking spaces marked for Ford vehicles. The last time I tried to park at one of those spots, I got told off and shooed away by the security guard on duty. Well, seems there's been a change of policy...

But you still can't blame me for drooling over modified Neos on campus - I drive one and I'm seriously craving to put on some new rims, LEDs, and body stickers, if not completely revamp it with a coat of new color, tinted lights, and a turbo engine and sound system. Spotted this sexy beast when I arrived early enough in the morning to get decent parking, but the driver hung around his car, so I couldn't take a pic until it was raging-sunlight-Malaysian-style afternoon.

Kaki don - fried oyster rice bowl. MYR 8.80 subject to taxes.
Wearing heels is a big deal for me, because I wouldn't wear them unless I had to, or the occasion permits me to, which means there will be minimal walking. On this particular day of the week, we made an unexpected trip to Sunway Pyramid for Japanese food, and there was a lot of walking when I didn't expect to... I paid more than just what was printed on the receipt for a bowl of oyster rice.

End of Giugno

Boy, has May and June been hectic! Tons and tons of assignments, and... nope that pretty much sums up the life of university students. All the drama and potential backstabbing aside, the assignments were actually somewhat fun.

The downside was that there were multiple group assignments due around the same time, all requiring presentations, and two requiring ridiculous amounts of paperwork and references. Anyways, I've a pretty much nice, worry-free weekend for once, after more than 24 hours of not sleeping. I broke my own record...

Super le buay paiseh posting this up. And to the guy who posted this, lemme know who you are LOL
Anyways, we had a long night over at Louis' place rushing our assignment (which I find is the most awesome assignment I've done throughout university). I took to a random trip to one of the Taylor's confessions pages, and *BAM*. Either it's a huge troll, or a really awkward proposal. If it's the latter, I think I have a general idea who it is.

I reached home at 05:30 on Friday 28th, took a quick shower, whipped out my only shirt, and sped off back to Subang Jaya. I was expecting a random breakfast with someone, but no one showed up, so I hopped back to the car for a few snoozes (no way I'm going to the library).

If only I could doll up like this everyday...
Coordinate of the day: red shirt from Gia F.O.S, the pencil skirt was from Bangkok, black leather peep-toe pumps from Prima Vera, and accessorized with my usual pink watch, and a new necklace given to me by my beloved mum~ Could've looked better with an anklet, but I completely forgot about it...

Make-up... I think I'll do a separate post and video on it? It's like super fast just eye and lip make-up look that was supposed to just make me look less zombie-like after surviving on processed sugars.

And to the random guy that appeared in the Project Room at D3 to encourage my defensive comments "slandering posts" on the Taylor's confessions pages, THANK YOU! At least my aimless attempts at refuting people have gained some significance, however little. =D Like really, it means a lot to me that people notice.

Delicious macaron courtesy of Karen~ I think it's matcha and red bean, but I can't be sure. =P
Having to wait wasn't the bad part. Our PR presentation was scheduled for 12:15, when Media Gates (our PR company) was supposed to present. Even by 14:15, we weren't able to present. Why? I can understand that the Deakin's students arrived late (Malaysian traffic, etc), but when the lecturer time and again reminded us to be "15 minutes early prior to our presentation slot", and was late herself? Sorry. Respect lost.

Collateral material #1: synthetic material cushion, now in my possession =D
And when Media Gates finally entered the room, we were ushered out and instructed to return in half an hour. I forgot to accommodate whom, but we walked out with pleasant faces, no matter how much I wanted to really shout profanities.

Collateral material #2: T-shirt. This is the back, and the printed kidneys are supposed to be where the real kidneys are.
I didn't have time, though, because I had to run up and down a few flights of stairs in heels to get to ANOTHER PRESENTATION. Talk about being busy. I was sweating beyond what was acceptable (the coordinate wasn't very ventilation-friendly), but my presentation for Exhibition Management went quite well. *got rid of my constantly-fidgeting-while-presenting habit*

Collateral material #3: le mug. There's a sticker and a calendar as well~
Just as it was Media Gates' turn to present, somehow all the Deakin's students and staff left, leaving only our lecturer in there to evaluate us. In a way it was good and bad - good because there's less pressure when stuttering happens; bad because we lack the experience in presenting for anyone else other than our lecturer.

BUT I FUCKING LOVED OUR GROUP! Wasn't a group that I started from the bottom with, but a wonder to work with. Four guys - Louis, Justin, Alex, and Win Aun. Seriously. Best. Group. Assignment. Experience. Ever. And I loved our collateral materials~ There were some last minute changes, but awesome all the same. =D

I ended up with about 6 blisters in total, as well as constantly cramping calves, but had a nice Taiwanese dinner at Formosa (Asian Avenue, Sunway Pyramid) with Jasmine and Win Aun.

Cantaloupe pomelo sago dessert... WITHOUT cream. RM7.90 (subject to taxes)
I also had my first taste of Hui Lau Shan, which is a renowned Hong Kong-style healthy dessert chain, using fruits as their main ingredients. Given the big hype about it (or at least, the impression I got), I was pretty much disappointed, because it wasn't much. Just... dessert. However, in their defense, I have pretty high-calorie, rich tastes for my dessert. =P

What propelled me to wait aimlessly in campus, but still get in the traffic congestion, I will never know. Thankfully I took KESAS instead of my usual route... My leg would have needed amputation when I got home.

On another note, I suddenly realize the somewhat lame but awesome guys I've known for the past few years are people who actually care. Not gonna go into detail, but I was really touched when they said they won't be attending my funeral if I died in a certain way, not even visit me at the hospital.

Stop, and take the time to look around, and cherish all the people around you, even those who backstab and betray you - they help you differentiate the real friends from the fake ones. =)

9 assignments due

Whoever who said communications was an easy A subject, YOU'RE MORE THAN WRONG.

Well, perhaps in comparison to other subjects, communications is a breeze - just simple theories and fun with various computer software. But when you have 9 of these assignments to hand in by the next 2 weeks, you won't think it's fun anymore.

When I signed up for this degree course, I really didn't imagine that I'd have to DRAW or do STATISTICS.   Those who think all you have to do is film videos and edit stuff on Final Cut Pro, it only depends on your major, and even so, you still have a lot of paperwork assignments.

No, communication isn't all fun and games. Less stressful than other majors like architecture or hotel management, but as the Chinese saying goes "家家有本难念的经", meaning each home (or in this case, major) has it's own difficulties.

I would like to die now.

End of April

Drawing closer to the end of the fourth month on 2013, I've some things to share, but I obviously can't share EVERYTHING that happened, so I'll share just some recent things. =)

From top left clockwise: fruit custard, coffee almond, chocolate custard, lemon, durian, and chocolate almond.
My mother brought home some mini tarts from a place called Justarts. They came in shortcrust pastry shells, wrapped in disposable cupcake cups (I think that's what they call it). Some were delicious, some were just mediocre. =P

And a shopping trip at Mid Valley on Sunday. Our targets are actually just a few pairs of shoes, especially that I needed all-black comfy walking shoes for an upcoming event job (for academic purposes LOL). We ended up spending a little more than we planned to...

Cute tribal beads are their charm~ RM69.80 from Sachs (discounted).
I found some cute moccasins from Sachs, which I would never really have considered purchasing, and scratched the "black walking shoes" off my shopping list. Basically, that was all of my entire "need" shopping list. But which girl could resist an all out shopping trip? =D

Basic black peep-toe pumps which are not too tall! RM246 from Prima Vera.
There were some pretty black pumps I found in Jusco, black, but with a ruffled surface - understated, yet still outstanding enough. But they didn't fit (damn those who don't manufacture/stock up on half sizes). I found a pair in Prima Vera, though... Super. Effing. Expensive. But not too tall, and leather~ *dances around* So my mother got those for me...

Before we could proceed to anything else, LUNCH! Mid Valley, having been there for millions of times, is now a place where we would start asking each other what to have for lunch the moment we leave the house. Kind of familiar, since we kind of do that at school, too...

Anyway, we decided to give Manhattan Fish Market a chance after a not-so-nice experience there some time ago. Regretted the decision of even letting them have a shot to try to re-impress us. They changed the menu since our last visit, and I didn't fancy paying for mediocre food and bad service.

Asian spice pan seared fish and spicy mussels (they were quite fresh) served with garlic herb rice. RM25.50 (subject to government and service tax)
The garlic herb rice tasted so much better in the past, and there was a simple seafood pasta somewhere, and it costed RM17.90 for the full sized one. Pasta + that little bit of seafood = definitely not worth RM17.90. Even Pasta Zanmai isn't that expensive... The dish that I ordered - I could have made it myself at home, but I paid RM25.50+ to eat it there.

And too many part timers, and a management that doesn't seem to bother training their staff. Any restaurant, who has a team of staff who huddles together, talks loudly, and/or is not alert immediately puts me off. I expect up-to-par service when I'm paying for your stupid service tax. No MFM anytime soon.

We left in search of more shoes, and we happened to pass by Vintage 1988's pushcart. Vintage 1988 is a boutique that specializes in vintage-looking charm accessories. You can purchase the accessories ready-made, or you can customize them (the staff will assemble your accessory on the spot).

There were many different charms of different shapes, sizes, and prices. The promotion was choosing 6 charms and above entitles you to a free chain for the bracelet. I made myself an anklet instead. Beware, though: you'll just get caught up with the entire process of choosing from the super-wide variety of charms, planning your accessory design, and end up being quite surprised by the end price.

My new favorite accessory =D RM68 inclusive of the chain.
The Deathly Hallows charm represents my loyalty to Harry Potter; the alphabet "C" is the first letter of my name (Chean); I like cats in general; music really does rule my life; the star because it made a pretty horizontal piece; the feather because perhaps I fantasize about flying away?; the love letter because I love writing love letters; and the alphabet "D"... represents a really important person in my life. =)

The most kawaii mini croissant I've ever seen!
Tried out Komugi's nama choco sand as well. Mediocre.
And after a visit to Skechers where I saw someone who resembled a certain someone a little too much, we had a little shopping spree in Komugi (my new favorite Japanese pastry house). We got some bread each, and some cold desserts (hanjuku cheese and nama choco sand, which translates as "nama chocolate sandwich").

Now to MONDAY, filled with the usual Monday blues. I had one comfort - I found a cropped sweater in my closet by accident. I share my closet with my sister, so I have no idea what's in the closet sometimes.

Photo taken from my Instagram. Filters from Camera360 and Instagram. Both items unbranded (jeans from Petaling Street).
What I found was an orange sweater, which was under a white sheer cardigan. The highlight is that this sweater is cropped, though obviously for people with a little more height than me. But it's cropped nonetheless, and it's probably the only piece of clothing in the entire house that is in that cut.

Tuesday was shit. I had to drive to campus (finally, SPEED) for a class that didn't last for even 20 minutes. The lecturer just sat in front, mumbled to himself about some things about statistics, asked us about things that he should know, then dismissed class after keeping silent for about 10 minutes. WTF?!

Crazy traffic jam! And this happens very frequently recently!
The ridiculous part was the almost-hour-long traffic jam just WITHIN campus. All the way from the free parking area all the way out to the SMC intersection. Taylor's, it's time you start planning an alternative enter-and-exit route: sooner or later, you'll lose students just because traffic flow and parking sucks.

Apple tarte tartin~ And we got some fresh corn from Cameron Highlands, too...
The traffic congestion was worth some delicious apple tarte tartin made by Karen~ Deliciously tangy apples on a mildly sweet crust, and served with melting vanilla ice cream~ *love*

Of cakes and macarons

The thing is: we skipped class. Excuse me, but we didn't pay you to read from the slides. And if we're not supposed to take notes while you're reading off the slides, then WHAT'S THE POINT IN ATTENDING CLASS?! I could very well read the slides at home by myself without having to listen to you recount your youth for the 1358th time, thank you very much.

Back to the point: a bunch of us went to Bangsar for sort of a food adventure, I think? I didn't know what the main item on the itinerary was, but I think I'll just call it the Bangsar food trip. =D

Quinie and Sindee gave us a lift there (6 persons in total), and we first visited the First Impressions Beauty Salon for some *ahem* brow threading. The process was an eye-opening experience, since I've never seen it before. It's basically the same as using tweezers, but faster, and a little more dangerous (risk of cutting the skin).

Nirvana Maju was our destination for lunch. For those of you who don't know, there are only certain mamak restaurants which serve banana leaf rice, and it also depends on whether they make good banana leaf rice.

I had my rice drowned in dhall curry, with two extra pieces of radish. The condiments from left: deep fried battered bitter gourd, pumpkin mash, and cucumber salad.
Basically, the rice and condiments (curry, deep fried battered bitter gourd, etc) are served on a cleaned sheet of banana leaf, which adds to the flavor of everything you put on it. For an even better eating experience, ditch the cutlery and use your hand (traditionally, only the right hand is used)!

We walked around some outlets, with rejected Burberry, Calvin Klein, Juicy Couture, and other branded items. Just not my kind of shopping. As it is, I go to point A to get item A, and get out, usually missing out a lot of other awesome stuff.

High tea has never been included in my itinerary throughout 20 years of my life, and while this doesn't constitute as a proper high tea (comparing with information I got from friends), the cakes were delicious. Some people may know the popular (but expensive) patisserie called Les Deux Garçons (Google translates this as "two boys"), which is popular for their delicious macarons.

The display counter offered a variety of cakes, mousses, and pastries (I saw different varieties of eclairs), as well as a pretty display of French macarons. Four cakes made it to the table...

From the mint green one clockwise: wasabi macaron, vodka lime, green tea, salted caramel, truffle, and all topped with a cherry macaron. The truffle macaron has some gold dust on it...
Macarons never really made it to my favorite foods list, but the macarons from LDG made my list... Crispy, fresh, delicious creamy filling, and all without getting too chewy.

Gold flakes. On a cake. Which costs RM14 a slice... Most luxurious cakes I've ever had...
The cakes were awesome, too... Too bad they're so expensive, but you pay for a decadent dessert experience!

The start of semester 3

Well, university has started again. The classes seem to be less fun and more work now, because we're starting to get bored - already. At least, I can only speak for myself. But I guess I could say for now that we have pretty good lecturers as compared to *ahem* some past semesters.

One group for each subject, regardless of whether or not they're official.
The first thing I would like to mention: I have 5 subjects this semester (should have had 6, but they f**king dropped me out of Japanese class on the "first come first serve basis" more on this later). We have a different Facebook group for each and every subject. SRSLY?! I have no idea how to keep track of things now. (Thankfully, I've finalized the decision for my laptop, and now we're just waiting for C.O.D)

Keeping track of classes and whatnot would be hell from now on... But in a way, it's better, because now it's more hands-on, and you're forced to take initiative. *shrugs*

Now about Japanese class. I believe I've blogged about it before (I have the memory span of a fish, now I understand Dory from Finding Nemo). A lot of people were dropped from the class, because there's a certain limit to how many students can enter, and enrolment follows the first come, first serve basis.

But for some s**tty reason, many people who registered for the class first were dropped. My group of friends, all of which who registered for the class the moment registration was available, we all rejected but one. And they weren't kind in letting us know: just a Word document, with a crappy "you're rejected message", and a list of our IDs. Not even any glamour that Taylor's documents usually have.

And the documents I have to download? Well, gotta get used to it, and also trying to get used to shorter blog  posts. Fellow friend Brian See seems to like short posts more.

I'm still contemplating whether to renew my gym membership, though... I ditched the thought because I wanted to cut down on my "expenses" (repayment for my Galaxy Note, and for 50% of my new laptop), but I seem to be losing control... I stepped on the scale just now: 58.8KG WTFF! MOSQUITOES! Y U NO SUCK FAT?!

Till the next time I find something else to blog about!

Performing Arts Final Showcase

22nd DECEMBER 2012
Regrettably, I did not take this subject. Despite seeing some of my classmates being completely exhausted and stressed out because of the endless rehearsals, the end result was well worth all the sweat and tears!

I initially chose this subject as an elective, but ended up taking Introduction to Management based on advice from my dad. I guess there's two sides to every coin, and what I gained from one coin, I lost from another. MOVING ON!

Many of the people you will see on Omegle are just male organs, but occasionally, you get funny people like this, as well as people who actually want to chat. =)
I had my Spanish finals on 22nd December (a Saturday), which also happens to be my maternal grandfather's, and my aunt's birthday. I didn't sleep the entire night, aiming to get some studying done. In the end, I spent 4 hours (basically the entire night) on Omegle. Productive. =D

It was the most problematic exam paper I've had in my entire educational history - because our lecturer wasn't able to invigilate our exam, many of the questions had to await telephone confirmation to be answered. I spent an hour at the gym before going home to retrieve the false lashes that I forgot to bring, as well as the cotton buds, and make-up remover.

By 2.30pm, I was all made up and out of the door, setting off for campus again. I can't really classify myself as a make-up artist, but I guess I had enough interest in make-up as to go out of my way just to get experience in doing make-up for other people.

I helped Xue Ren with her make-up first at LT6. Her character was supposed to be a seductress, whose queen is the Greek goddess, Circe. Hence, her make-up (as well as all her co-dancers) had to be sultry and seductive.

I spent the most time doing her make-up, starting from scratch, using various tones of brown and black shadows, as well as a ton of black gel liner. The falsies I used on her were too sparse, though, for stage, and we later added a super thick pair on top of my sparser ones.

One of the "backstage" rooms. Brushes, palettes, cosmetics all over the place!
The "backstage" of Lecture Theatre 20 was a mess - it was basically just a few small rooms with attached toilet cubicles. And when I say small, I mean small - more than 5 people in there is already hard to navigate. And there was no electric light. I mean, they installed the cradle and bulb and all, but there was no switch where the power point was, so all make-up and preps had to be done before dark.

Photo by Elaine. Helped her with her eyeliner~
Anyway, I helped whichever girl who requested that I help with their make-up (sorry, Karen! I missed you out!), with whichever make-up product I could grab. The room was an entire mess anyway, so it didn't really matter what belonged to who, there and then, as long as it did the job.

Photo by MC. Her eye make-up done by me =)
We had a short break at around 5pm, then resumed our cosmetics rush at around 6 or 7. Performance was scheduled to start at 8pm. Just before showtime, red lipstick, and false lashes were on demand for the girls, and some eyeliner for the boys.

Photo by Jessie. From left, Fennie, Jessie and me. Jessie's make-up partially by me.
I left a pouch of potentially needed touch-up items backstage, then left to join the audience, taking a seat beside Bryan, then later joined by Spellman, with Mr Winston behind me.

Photo by Xue Ren. Clockwise from top left - Zoe, me, Huey Jen, Xue Ren, MC, Jessie and Cecilia. I helped/did their make-up =D
I was laughing for most of the performance, because I found it quite strange to see them act in ways that I know they usually won't (for some of them). The showcase was based on Homer's The Odyssey, depicting the story of Odysseus, who was thrown to war, leaving his kingdom, and his encounters with several gods in the efforts of returning to his dear wife, Penelope, and his kingdom.

Apart from some local accent that seasoned the script for some, as well as more modern words, like "kids" included in the script, the entire performance was phenomenal. The sound effects could have also been a bit more smooth, as well.

Photo by Xue Ren. Clockwise from top left: Zoe, me, Huey Jen, Xue Ren, MC, Jessie and Imran.
Imran did a fantastic job in his role as Odysseus. M was beautifully portrayed Queen Penelope. Joyce was the perfect Calypso. Yun Sin was perfect as Athena. And, oh boy, was Olivia the hottest Circe ever! The other performances I loved, but couldn't catch their character's names - Bryan Loh (Poseidon's brother, the god of wind), Ilham (quirky, as always!), Justin (Hades!), Karen, Ady (him and his hair). The list just goes on!

Kisses from the seductresses~ I went home looking like this, and lots of people will giving me weird looks XD
The performance ended on a high note, with flowers being thrown around, and the girls applying red lipstick to kiss people. Some of them went to Desiree's place for an after party, others, like me, just went home. I would've loved to join the party, but I went to Comic Fiesta for the entire day the next day.

It was a fun experience - working with multiple people at once, and altering looks to suit each and everyone's eye shapes. My liquid liner suffered mass losses, though. =P Which means I should use gel liner the next time I do dark looks.

Thanks to all the babes who made my day an awesome one! *kisses*

The Hobbit + the most epic class party ever

Our class was at 10am, but we went to the 8am slot, just because Jasmine and I couldn't fall asleep in our cars. We had a movie plan - Life of Pi.

Deelish pork noodles~
After a rather quick tutorial class, Jessica brought us out for pork noodles at SS15. I forgot the name of the place, but the noodles were delectable. I had kway teow with mine, and had innards included. I eat innards, except for liver, but the soup was flavorful enough for me to eat the liver as well~

I was a tad pricey, though - RM5.70 per bowl, regardless of whether you have innards or not. The entire time we were there, there were two ladies at the back of the restaurant chopping chillies. There were more chillies there than I've ever seen in my life.

Promotional poster.
After brunch, we were taken back to campus to my car, and I drove the both of us to Paradigm Mall. We went straight to GSC, and asked about Life of Pi, but the time didn't match our schedule, so we opted for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey as per my suggestion.

The movie was about 2.5-3 hours, but it seemed like just an hour and a half (I take this as a sign that I was totally engrossed the movie, and enjoyed it). Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and Kili (Aidan Turner) were super HAWT.

The dwarves. Smack in the center is Thorin son of Thrain (Richard Armitage); top row second from left is Kili, the archer (Aidan Turner). Hawtz
I've read the book (YOU MUST READ THE BOOK!) by, needless to say, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Peter Jackson had made a few twists to it, such as including Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) in the story, although she was not mentioned in the book.

This movie is the first part of the three movies that shall depict The Hobbit visually. According to information on Wikipedia, the other two parts will be released in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

Garden Recipe's menu. No MSG, no coloring, no preservatives, natural and organic
We had lunch at Garden Recipe, a cafe that has intricate wallpaper and nice Victorian-ish garden decorations, as well as healthy food. I.e. they substitute white rice with organic brown rice.

Nyonya laksa ramen - complete with crispy fried bean curd skins, French bean and eggplant sticks, as well as fresh, juicy shrimp!
The menu is quite pricey, that's why I opted for a selection from the set menu - nyonya laksa ramen. Odd combination, but it was tasty~ For RM9.90 (subject to service charge), it came with a green tea.

We went for back for badminton at 6pm-ish. Alex, Justin, Jasmine and yours truly. Louis was supposed to join us, but he had some more stuff to do in Ipoh, so he couldn't make it. To be honest, most of the workout was due to silent laughter, and not really the badminton.

My classmates' posts on the partay:

Us with our lecturer~ He's an awesome guy =D
Nothing happened on Friday until around evening. A few classmates had put together a BBQ party for the entire class (almost 200 people, mind you) of BMC semester 2 to celebrate pre-exams. Of the many people, about 70 people attended, including our Innovative Media lecturer, Mr Alex Tan. =D

Food credit mostly goes to Karen, who made practically all the food we ate that night - fruit tarts, fried spaghetti, lasagna, mashed potatoes, the marinaded beef and chicken wings. It wasn't like the usual stuff you find at typically BBQ parties - the food was just delectable, and thanks Yen Huan, Justin, Karen, and everyone else who was working at the BBQ stove practically all night, making yummy chicken wings for us to devour!

We met up at SLC at Taylor's at around 6pm, before Ady led the way to the venue. From campus, a line of Myvis went all the way deep into USJ17 (or so it seemed), just pass a sekolah rendah agama (religious primary school, I think it's translated).

Most of the girls before all the pool-throwing commenced. Bitchin'~ Photo by Linda Sun.
Nothing much happened at first, because the guys at the barbeque were trying to get the fire going.

Random person: "Are you sure you have enough lighters for the barbeque?"
Karen: "Do you know how many smokers are here?"
*EPIC*

We nibbled on the fruit tarts (my favorite biscuit-like crust~) while waiting. Then we took a walk outside down the street - all the luxurious, gateless semi-Ds... Each with at least 3 cars, all of which were either Mercedes, BMWs or some high end luxury car.

The first one into the pool was Jo Ee and Joyce, forgot which one first. XD We took a few rounds of photos, including one of a yellow ukelele with a smiley face painted on it, and before I knew it, I was being dragged out.

At first it was just someone pulling me by the arms, then I was being dragged on my butt. Next thing you know, Brian See grabbed my legs, and I was hauled to the edge of the pool. Thus, I was the third person to be soaked.

After a few rounds of pushing and being pushed into the pool (including once by my lectuer =__=), FOOD! The lasagna had cucumbers in it, which was a bit weird for me, but it was delicious all the same. The spaghetti had a particularly unique flavor to it, and the mashed potatoes were oh-so-oishii~

The highlight of the night, apart from the booze. =D Thanks, Karen!
I had a chicken wing, waited for more, but they took a tad too long to cook, and the line for wings were long, so I gave up and had a beer, instead. =D

Ilham came around, and there was music. Soon, random people were being dragged out (by those who were already wet, mostly) and thrown into the pool. This was usually accompanied by screams from girls, and the occasional slip up of timing, which led to lots of bruises on the "victims'" part.

I got one, on my butt, after someone (forgot who, again) tried to carry me, but slipped, and my butt hit the edge of the pool, and I slid into the water. =P

My "twin" - Charlotte. A lot of people have said that we look alike. Do we? We were even wearing similar clothes that night (I tied up my H&M tank XD)!
The entire night, everyone was just partying - talking, splashing, drinking, dancing. Those aren't the exact words to describe the party, but that was close. It was the first of the kind that I've been to, but the most awesome party I've ever been a part of.

Halim, Charlotte, Alex and Ilham with me =D Apart from all those from high school, Ilham is the only J-rock/visual kei fan I've encountered in university up till now~
Got more woozy than I usually would get, and became a little more friendly with the guys that night, and had the experience of an anonymous kiss with a random guy. Rescued some damsels in distress from drunk guys, and all in all, had a (excuse my language) fucking good time!

At one point we were dancing inside the clubhouse itself, on a marble floor, with pools of water fed by the pool water dripping from us. Dancing, dancing, dancing *PLOP*. Someone slid under me, grabbed my calves, and I was on my back. I was stunned, I couldn't move, but all I could think was "why is Ilham's face at my butt?"

Two large cartons of beer, plus 3 bottles of Black Label weren't enough to satisfy us. Somewhere around 10pm? Justin went out to get more booze.

So many got drunk that night, including Alex. I quote Justin: "last night, those whom I thought were innocent became wild; but some of those whom I expected to be wild were quite innocent". Innocent as in, not cray-cray.

Best night ever, and I got new friends~ From left: Jasmine, Chien Min, Jeanna, Wei Hua, Ilham, Vivian, me and Vanda. Unknown photobomber behind =P
Seriously, overall, this night ranks #2 in my list of best nights ever - #1 being Miyavi's KL Live. Thanks again, everyone, especially the people who planned this, organized this, and provided the food and booze, for the awesomest party of my life!

Sorry if the post seems a bit disconnected: the alcohol hadn't completely subsided yet, so I was writing this a bit woozily, trying to recall everything that happened. =D
