Today was pretty uneventful apart from the fact that our Business lecturer gave us a little peek at his school life, which was pretty interesting. Before that, we had Korean brunch - dumpling ramen with Korean tea. The dumplings sucked, and the soup was not kimchi soup. However, it was pretty filling.
After classes (and some sleeping in the library), Jasmine and I went to Taiwan Dami for afternoon tea, if you could call it that. The management revamped the place - placement of tables different, new wallpaper, and of course, new staff, but Ramesh was still there, and as usual I was laughing like a mad woman.
Anyways, I ordered my deep fried plum sweet potato and a green tea with milk and pearls. Standards were still OK, the sweet potato has returned to almost its former quality, but the green tea was slightly off. Can't exactly pinpoint the 'off' part but it was off.
Jasmine ordered an original fried chicken chop and a jasmine green tea. Come to think of it I should have at least ordered something I haven't tried before - Tinh and I occasionally sneaked a couple of sweet potato fries whenever there was extra, and I almost always order the green tea with milk when I'm off work. Why the hell didn't I, then?
Anyhow, I'M NOW UP TO MY NECK WITH ASSIGNMENTS. ONE 1800-WORD ESSAY. TWO RESEARCH PROPOSALS. ONE PRESENTATION ABOUT EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION AND BEHAVIOR. NO HOLIDAYS FOR CHRISTMAS. FINALS RIGHT AFTER CHINESE NEW YEAR. WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?!
